 Stephen Williams who hails from Georgia is the second owner of this beautiful yellow 01 C5.  The car was originally owned by a Chevy dealer in the Atlanta area and was modified by MTI Racing for both street and track use.The Road Atlanta circuit course was the motivation of the original owners modification project.

While in MTI's care, the owner was transferred to NYC and never returned to Atlanta. The car was completed but never saw the track time once it was finished. At the owners direction, MTI acted as his agent and advertised the car on Ebay. Stephen was the lucky bidder and acquired the car in 2010.

Modifications to the car include: 

An MTI Racing World Challenge Street Aero Package that sports specially designed front Canards,
Rocker Panel Side Skirts, Rear Fascia Side Skirts,Rear Spoiler, Euro Tail Lamp Conversion and a Motor City Molds High Rise Hood.

A Stage 3 Kevlar Racing Clutch backed up by a Hurst short throw shifter transfers the power to the wheels. Those wheels consist of a set of three piece forged units from OZ Racing.  A set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport Tires are the last stop for all that power.

Other suspension and body mods include Hotchkis anti-away bars and end links a tunnel plate heat shield,
functional rear Z06 brake ducting, QA1 Adjustable Shocks MTI Racing stage 3 track leaf springs and a set of 3.73 rear-end gears.

Interior refinements include a Brey Rouse racing harness bar, Sabelt racing harnesses a
Momo racing steering wheel and a special set of Momo racing pedals. A custom HID headlamp conversion
kit was installed to light up the track on dark race nights.  A Wilwood SL6 brake Kit equipped with braided stainless steel brake lines help to stop the beast.

The final chapter for this Z consists of a Magnacharger MP122 supercharger kit with inter cooler, larger injectors, and 90mm GM throttle body. A Black Wing Air Intake, NGK supercharger spark plugs and a custom tune wake up the beast.  A set of Dynatech SuperMAXX long tube stainless steel headers and high flow Cats exit the spent power through a  Billy Boat "Bullet" tail pipe system. 

The car It is a road course dominator, especially when competing on course's like the Tail of the Dragon in Deals Gap, Tennessee . Despite the performance mods the car is very driver friendly on the street.  The Z has power when 
Stephen needs it and is a head turner wherever he chooses to take it.
With its Millennium Yellow paint and custom interior. the Z has won many awards at regional car shows.
